Warwick (Wǣringwīċ) is the county town of Warwickshire, England. The city lies upon the river Avon, 11 miles (18 km) south of Coventry and just west of Leamington Spa and Whitnash with which it is conjoined. Often the name Warwick is associated with the University of Warwick; although it is in the proximity of Warwick, it is located in the territory of the city of Coventry. It is home to Warwick Castle, which is of considerable historical interest. England's Queen Consort Anne Neville was born there in 1456.
